Accreditation Council for Academic & Professional Standards ACAPS- your trusted seal of Academic Excellence

ACAPS has been primarily constituted as an Independent Council of the International Chamber under section 4.4 of the Articles of Incorporation of the Chamber to provide a rigorous assessment , evaluation and ACAPS accreditation of Chamber Consultants and Chamber Certified Java Instructors plus institutions that provide the Chamber and its students various academic and professional programmes such as MBAs and DBAs . It provides accreditation to Institutions and services as a recognition that the Institution meets or exceeds the stated criteria of educational or service quality. The purposes of accreditation are to assess and enhance the educational standard of its Consultants/Instructors and educational quality of an institution, to assure consistency in institutional operations, to promote institutional improvement, and to provide for accountability so that the students joining the Chamber and such Institutions may be assured of high standards of educational input.

ACAPS is in academic collaboration with diverse academic institutions committed to the highest quality education for all students, to foster and ensure continuous improvement of educational services provided by various Institutions of Higher education. It is directly linked with the Research and Publications Committee of the Java World Congress to ensure highest standards in its research publications and deliberations taking place annually. http://www.javaworldcongress.org/researchandpublications.jsp

We will grant recognition and warranty to all the institutions that meet our strict standards, through a voluntary, non-governmental guided self-regulation. The Council also appoints expert panels to evaluate and asses various software products and websites developed by its students and after the complete documentation and service manuals are lodged with the Council, may provide the seal of approval by ACAPS on a payment of US $ 50 licensing fee.

The Institutions that apply for accreditation shall meet the following criteria:

Have lawful status as an academic, or commercial institution (non-profit or for-profit) and have a degree or diploma granting mandate for the region in which it operates.
Recognize that quality teaching and research is made possible by the quality of educational materials, quality of staff and faculty, and quality of the educational working conditions that fosters independent and critical enquiry.
Maintain admission standards that are the same for all students, with exception to fair and permissible differences allowing for cultural, religious, or language differences.
Set its own standards for admission, providing the basic policies and procedures required by ACAPS are met.
Promote the ideals of independent thinking and teamwork within multi-cultural contexts.
Encourage and expect excellence from students and staff, whether in academics, skills, faith, or their own personal life.
Run programs in classroom setting or via online, distance modes or any manner that suits their requirements, providing accreditation qualifications are met.
Fairly accept student transfer credits and degrees.
Ensure curriculum requirements are clearly stated.
Ensure teaching and grading of curriculum and work is done by qualified instructors, or under their direct and active supervision. Online and distance learning shall be subject to the same criteria with certain flexibility offered to the actual teaching performance, however, in such case the grading or evaluation should be significantly more detailed.
Ensure individuals are provided accurate, reliable and easily accessible information and guidance.
Have an established and realistic grading plan.
Ensure clear and concise evaluation standards exist and are employed for students, instructors, and curriculum.
Have a published tuition and fee schedule.
Provide students with a reasonable expectation that the school will continue to exist and records will be maintained and secure. Schools must have some provision for continuing to supply records, such as transcripts, if they discontinue operations.
Take into consideration, making every effort to observe the UNESCO recommendations concerning education and educational institutions supporting human rights, collegial governance, improvements in education and ways of life, and academic freedom.
Agree to utilize Chamber developed and certified online test engine to administer exams and test batteries maintain a question bank of 400 questions initially and gradually increasing to 2000 before first renewal of accreditation.

Helps the institution to know its strengths, weaknesses and opportunities through an informed review process and Initiates institutions into innovative and modern methods of pedagogy.
Enhances collegiality on the campus.
Provides society with reliable information on quality of education offered by these Institutions.
Certifies that an institution or program has met established standards.
Aids institutions in determining the acceptability of transfer credits.
Involves the faculty and staff comprehensively in evaluation and planning.
Institutions accredited are encouraged to use the ACAPS accreditation seal wherever appropriate: in web pages, prospectuses, brochures, advertisements and other publicity material, and stationery.
A hyperlink from the Institution's website to ACAPS is a straightforward and effective way of illustrating achievement of quality and of reassuring would-be learners.

The Instructors that apply for accreditation shall meet the following criteria:

They have successfully completed all prescribed academic courses including PCJT
They have completed a minimum six months Instructor training provided by a qualified senior Chamber certified Consultant.
Have passed all evaluation criteria on content , presentation skills, consistency and uniformity.
Have entered into an agreement to provide professional service to students within identified territories and maintain the accreditation current.

Doing so will earn you the exclusive lifelong right to bear the CCJI professional designation following your name on business cards, in correspondence, and on your resume / curriculum vitae.

Procedure

Instructors and Consultants are requested to write to Director Professional affairs Ms. Aspasia Peppa 30 Ari Velouhioti Street , 19 200 Elefsina, Attiki, Greece. e mail: aspasia@ccjpint.org enclosing a comprehensive CV indicating your willingness to be evaluated , certified and accredited by ACAPS.
Institutions are requested to download the applications available on site and if you meet with certain minimum criteria we will then write to you requesting details for commencement of evaluation at which point we will also communicate with you the accreditation fee and renewal process applicable every 3 years. The application fee of US $ 500 should be enclosed for commencement of process at the time of submission of application. The accreditation fee will vary depending on Institution but not exceed Us $ 15000.Renewal fee will be a percentage of the accreditation fee paid by the Institution.
