It is with much joy and admiration the worldwide fraternity join me in extending their warm congratulations to the International Council for their valiant efforts in launching strict evaluation criteria for Java Professionals and introduce new standards in the Chartered Java professional certification.

Without the dedication, determination and vision of a committed group of professionals, it would have been simply impossible to bring all these systems under one umbrella through which students and members could now easily gain competence and professional certification.

The International Chamber is extremely fortunate to have a person of the caliber and stature of Prof. Madurasinghe at its helm to give it much needed support from the academia and the general public as well. The dedication and enthusiasm with which the other renowned scholars and professionals have come forward to face the Global student challenges is indeed highly commendable.

I am aware of efforts being made to form Chartered member local chapters in various countries and am personally aware of the great progress made in the Chamber of Chartered Java professional in Sri Lanka which is legally incorporated.

At a time when Java programming is becoming extremely popular worldwide, I have been very impressed with many International yardsticks , such as, Tiobe which shows how Java has maintained its leading edge. I am also aware that Java professionals are in great demand for Jobs worldwide, which is another way in which the young generations could remain gainfully employed.

I wish the International Council all the best in their laudable endeavors and look forward to maintaining a very healthy dialog with all of you in the coming months and years.
